Meet the New UK Writing Framework with Jolly Learning
LEARN MOREWhy this matters now
In July 2025, the UK Government released the Writing Framework. It highlights the importance of:
- Explicit handwriting and spelling instruction from Reception
- Oral composition before extended writing
- Mastery of sentence structure
- Cumulative practice through dictation
- Motivation through visible writing success
Jolly Learning’s approach supports these priorities and has done since we launched our first programme. Our resources are ready to help your school meet and exceed the expectations in the new framework, from the earliest stages of writing through to spelling, grammar and creative composition.
