Nicola is an experienced primary school teacher and has experience of middle leader and senior leadership roles. She is based in Barking and Dagenham and has been teaching Jolly Phonics across the Primary phase for many, many years. She is passionate about making Phonics fun, practical, engaging and accessible to all learners so that they become confident and successful readers and writers. Nicola has seen first-hand the phenomenal impact that the programme’s kinaesthetic approach has, particularly for those with SEND or EAL.

Nicola, alongside other staff in the school where she works, have modelled lessons for the training and delivery of synthetic phonics and Jolly Grammar, to EYFS and KS1 practitioners from around the world. The school has also been involved in reviewing and trialling Jolly Learning materials.

Nicola strives to encourage teachers to become passionate in implementing the Jolly Phonics methodology in a practical and successful way within the class setting. Online or face to face training available.
