Irene Musyoki is a highly dedicated professional teacher and an experienced Jolly Phonics literacy trainer with over seven years of experience supporting early reading programs in both early grades and primary schools. She collaborates closely with teachers and coaches to enhance phonics instruction, improve learner outcomes, and facilitate a seamless coaching transition into the trainer journey. In her training sessions, she is deeply passionate about transforming teachers’ mindsets, guiding them away from traditional, often less effective methods, towards innovative, multisensory approaches that foster the development of young readers and writers.

Based in the Coastal region of Kenya, Irene has extensive experience working in private schools, where she has held leadership roles. As a school leader for several years, she was instrumental in strengthening reading and writing readiness among lower primary students, which significantly contributed to improved academic performance across various classes. What drives her motivation is witnessing young learners gain confidence and independence in reading and writing, experiencing the joy of their achievements in their early years. Currently, Irene is working with Jolly Futures as a Support Officer, where she continues to dedicate herself to improving literacy outcomes and empowering teachers.
