A native from Kwa-Zulu Natal, Stacey has been living in Gauteng for 18 years, and Johannesburg specifically for the past three. She studied at the University of Pretoria and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Foundation Phase in 2012. Stacey has been teaching for the past six years, teaching Grade R in Pretoria before moving to Johannesburg and now teaching Grade 1.
Stacey fell in love with Jolly Phonics when she saw not only the amazing results the programme offers, but also the pure enjoyment the children experience while participating in the programme. She has seen her strong learners soar to new heights and her weaker learners achieve results in their reading and writing that they would not of ordinarily been able to achieve.
Jolly Phonics breeds confident readers and writers in the youngest of children and Stacey is excited to share her passion for the programme during her training sessions. She hopes to instil this passion in other educators so that the magic of Jolly Phonics may be given to all children in South Africa!
