Dan first used Jolly Phonics when teaching Reception in 2002. After 10 years of teaching in the UK, Dan moved to Zambia where he now oversees the operations of Beyond Ourselves; an education charity that gives professional and financial support for community schools, and offers training in primary schools across Zambia. Beyond Ourselves have been piloting Jolly Phonics for the Zambian government since the start of 2018 and have seen tremendous results in participating schools.
