Adelina has been teaching English for more than 12 years since graduating from the Department of Foreign Language at Kuban State University, Russia, majoring in English and Modern Greek. She runs three ‘Cool School’ language centres in Krasnodar, having first opened in 2014. Today, they also provide online classes and courses in English and other languages. She still frequently returns to Greece.
Adelina works across all age groups, from preschoolers and primary school students, to secondary school students and even adults. She has been using the Jolly Phonics programme which she is really enthusiastic about, as she can see the results that her students achieve. The method fits teachers who want to build reading and writing skills fairly simply and straightforward, using a wide range of materials that make language acquisition very effective, and has resulted in a positive and rewarding experience for all involved. She has seen remarkable progress in her students, many of which possess incredibly poor reading and writing skills when the first join.
Adelina’s purpose is to provide teachers the techniques that make teaching reading easy and enjoyable in a variety of ways, and how to build a foundation for literacy as students grow as readers. She hopes the Jolly Phonics method will continue to help students all over the world.
